The ZIP5Basic Database is our "basic" ZIP Code database. We describe it as "basic" yet it includes 43 data elements - many more than our competitors offer.
The core of this database begins with Zip Code data that we license from the United States Postal Service. Here, we've included data elements such as: ZIP Code, preferred city name and city alias, state abbreviation, state name and county just to name a few.
In addition we augment the USPS information with U.S. Census data that includes: CBSA, MSA, CSA, Census region and division names, White, Black and Hispanic population totals at the Zip Code and County levels, housing unit counts, household size, household income, median house values, longitude, latitude, elevation, area codes, time zone and daylight savings information.
Please check out our Product Comparison for a detailed discussion of the differences between databases.
